Game Changer // Oh Sh!t Workshop - Vail Valley

I started following Andria Lindquist about a year ago after being introduced to her by my sweet friend Bahareh. I mentioned to her that I was into shooting boudoir and she immediately pulled up Andria's Instagram feed and from that moment on, I was hooked.

I followed her casually for the next few months. Always loving the work she was doing and silently planning to book her for my some-day wedding. At one point I saw that she was hosting her own workshops called 'Oh Sh!t Workshop' and I 100% remember thinking to myself, I am SO not cool enough for that.

But then I saw her post on IG saying if anyone wanted to be on the list for the next round of workshops, they should email her to get on the mailing list. I thought what the heck, maybe next year I will be cool? So I sent her an email.

2 days later I was staring at an email from my ultimate girl crush photographer that said "We just had a spot open for Oh Sh!T Vail Valley in July (less than 4 weeks away) and DO I WANT TO COME??

Done. Booked. But OMG what would I wear??

Besides a literal 'Grab your brand by the balls" workshop, we also got a mini photo shoot with Andria. I was so hyped for this workshop I'm pretty sure it's all I talked about for those 3-ish weeks leading up to it. (#sorryfriends)

So here I was, this girl from Toledo, Ohio, hoping on a plane headed to Vail, Colorado to hang out with one of my biggest photography heroes, her bestie (and luxury makeup artist) Gaylin and 7 other amazing girl boss photographers. I was nervous af.

But that was ridiculous. Because I could not have met nicer, more genuine women than these 9 ladies. We broke the ice day one by learning of/celebrating Andria's BIG NEWS, and playing 2 truths and a lie (which escalated VERY quickly) over a bottle(s) of wine.

We talked business, we talked life, we talked dreams and failures. We did yoga, ate the. best. vegan food, and somehow avoided the first week of the 'Pokemon Go' frenzy. It was, hands down, the highlight of my year.

I had the BEST time and there are too many images from this trip to share in one post so trust, more are a comin'.

But for now, I'll leave you with a few images of the trip that changed my life.

p.s. major love to my girl Gaylinyet. She did all of our makeup for our shoots with Andria and prepared all of the food for us the ENTIRE trip. She is a rockstar and you should totally find a way to meet irl if you can. You better believe that when Andria shoots my wedding someday, Gaylin will be there too making sure I don't cry my makeup off. :)
