1st Anniversaries should be celebrated. You made it through 1 year of marriage. You've survived the wedding hangover, enjoyed the realization of "oh-my-god-we're-actually-married" and are starting to get this whole marriage thing down. Sounds like the perfect time for a photoshoot. :)

Alaina has become one of my closest friends over the past couple of years. She is the type of friend that you'd want to plan a vacation with because she's going to research the sh!t out of where we're going and then plan the best freaking time of our lives. Her husband Dean is the perfect compliment to her in so many ways. A go-with-the-flow attitude and a genuine personality make him so much fun to hangout with. I was honored to shoot their 1 year anniversary photos but super bummed that it was followed by the news that they are moving awayyyyy. :(

Luckily they are landing in warmer weather and are just a quick plane ride or weekend road trip away. I suppose I'll allow it. You know, since it's up to me and all.
